  • I only exercise to feel better emotionally. Exercise makes me feel good. It boosts my mood and makes me happy. This is why I do it now – I don’t punish myself and I don’t look at how many calories I have burned

  • I eat out with my friends and love it. I go out as often as I can because I live in an amazing city with so much nightlife. I look at the menu and choose the food that appeals to me.

  • Once I have finished a meal or snack I don’t think about it again. No matter what it was.

  • I don’t think of any food in terms of “good” or “bad”.

  • I eat, I finish and then I get on with my life.

  • The eating disorder DOES NOT live in my head any longer because I don’t play dangerous games like dieting, calorie counting or over exercising.

But It wasn’t always like this…

I am just a very average girl who has recovered from all eating disorders after YEARS of hell. In the end I had pretty much accepted that I would always have some type of eating disorder and that the best I could hope for was to find some strict diet/fitness regime that would manage my weight.

But I never really believed that I could have freedom from the obsession. I never thought that I could get that monkey off my back.

It has now been several years since I have been COMPLETELY FREE. It is possible to have COMPLETE RECOVERY from an Eating Disorder and Live with FREEDOM.

Methods I tried to get help:

    I have done everything possible to try to solve this eating disorder puzzle. Absolutely everything you can think of.

  • Hospitalization,
  • therapists,
  • 12 step programs,
  • support groups,
  • hypnosis,
  • meditation,
  • psychotherapy,
  • Specialized eating disorder counseling.
  • Buying EVERY SINGLE book possible on the subject,
  • diet books,
  • self help books,
  • forums,
  • prayer,
  • meditation,
  • Support groups in my area.

None of these ever worked for me. They did not give me COMPELTE freedom from the obsession with food and weight.

I will not say that they can’t work for some people, but they simply did not work for me. And I really tried my best at all of them.

None of these things worked for me - and this is why - they focus on "control" and “managing” the problem. They don’t give you COMPLETE FREEDOM.

What I was like.

I was a real ROCK BOTTOM case.

img I used to be someone that would spend days without leaving the house, just binge eating
img I used to be someone that lied to my boyfriend about going out somewhere when I was just going to the store to buy food and binge in my car
img I used to be someone that threw food away in the garbage, only to go back and get it later
img I used to be someone that was addicted to laxatives
img I used to be someone that avoided any social situations because of the weight that I gained
img I used to be someone that purged until all of my teeth were starting to ROT
img I used to be someone that drove for miles in the middle of the night to get food.
img I used to be someone that purged until my nose and mouth bled
img I used to be someone LOST jobs because I was spending all my time Binge eating and purging in the bathroom
img I used to be someone was hospitalized TWICE for an eating disorder
img I used to be someone that had NO friends left
img I used to be someone that weighed 90 Pounds in 2000 and 170 Pounds in 2003
img I used to be someone that ate in SECRET, hiding all the evidence
img I used to be someone that hated myself for my behavior, but I didn't know how to stop and control it.
img I used to be someone that thought something was wrong with me and that I was the only one with this problem.
img I used to be someone that had a CHRONIC eating disorder

If you can relate to this, then keep reading… There IS A SOLUTION

This eating disorder took EVERYTHING from me at different times.

It went on for almost A DECADE various disguises. At certain points I had relief, but never REAL FREEDOM. Today I do.

I am completely, 100% free. I am fully recovered.

The reason I am writing this is that I swore to myself that if I ever did recover from this I would try to help as many people as possible.

I made a promise to myself and it is so important that I cannot back down from it. If there is anything that I want it is to help someone else to achieve this sort of recovery.

At various stages my eating disorders looked like this:

  • For a period of 2 years I was completely anorexic. I weighed 90 Pounds, only ate certain sugary things for energy when I felt that I was about to pass out. I was buying kids clothes at age 21.
  • I had no friends, never went out with friends to restaurants because I didn’t want them questioning my eating. I was completely alone and all my thoughts were dedicated to food, what I would/wouldn’t eat and getting temporary highs from buying the smallest jeans available.
  • From there I moved on to a period of control mixed in with binge episodes.
  • My weight gradually increased and I always felt fat and ashamed.
  • I would gain massive amounts of weight and then lose it through various methods that were always self punishing and painful.
  • I ended up completely bulimic and had lost my job, boyfriend and friends.
  • I was hospitalized twice at this point
  • and there were weeks on end when I couldn’t leave the house – except to buy food.

Does any of this sound familiar to you?

Yes, it was THAT BAD!


Essentially you need to get to a breaking point.

  • A point where you realize that you have tried everything and nothing works.

  • A point where you are so sick and tired of the endless food and weight loss thoughts.

  • A point where you are sick and tired of having no life.

  • A point where you realize you have lost all of the things that are important to you

I knew that there HAD to be a solution – a permanent solution with complete recovery and freedom from the obsession that ruled my life…

Then I started to see the connection between DIETING, RESTRICTING and my eating disorder

Could it be possible that they were connected?

I had nothing to lose, so I thought I would give it a try. I would give up the diets, meal plans, cleanses, compulsive exercise and try to be a NORMAL EATER

Eat What You Want?? I know what you’re thinking – that is impossible and if I do that I will gain weight.

It is NOT true.

I can tell you that I never thought that I would be in touch with this elusive thing called HUNGER and NORMAL EATING again.

After of having my hunger dictated by my own strict guidelines, the latest celebrity diet, a recovery program or just the ravenous tiger within, I never thought that I would again be in touch with that natural, sane hunger that sees food as fuel for survival.

I suspected that my ideas and eating plans were not working, and possibly not even correct.

I started to associate my insanity, depression and hopelessness with the unrealistic eating standards that I was imposing. And I started to suspect that the out of control eating was a direct backlash to my self imposed will, dieting and restricting.

So hunger and NORMAL EATING was as foreign to me as the Mandarin language.

Getting back in touch with hunger and becoming a NORMAL EATER is ABSOLUTELY POSSIBLE, no matter how much you feel out of control and out of touch with your internal hunger cues.

This process WORKS and you can have FAST results

Once you understand the process and begin to implement it into your life, you will have freedom from the obsession, eliminate the binge eating, restore your body back to balance and be able to hear your internal hunger cues.

My eating patterns had not been normal for a decade and I no longer trusted my body, and slowly my faith in my mind was starting to falter.

Within a few weeks of becoming a NORMAL eater, I started to lose weight and within a year I had LOST 40 POUNDS.

Before I knew it, several months had passes and I had not had a binge. I had not thrown up. I had not weighed myself. I had eaten many foods that I liked. And most of all – I hardly ever thought about food or my weight.

I was shocked, amazed and exhilarated. My life had become so full and interesting that I did not even have much time or interest for the eating disorder.

I couldn’t BELIEVE how easy it was to become a normal eater, eat what I want AND lose weight.

I was EXHILIRATED! My DECADE long problem had been solved

Brilliant! I agree with every word. The funny thing is, a mere year ago, I would have been the one completely stymied by the concept of normal eating. I'd been Eating Disordered for soooo many years that I figured I would never know how to eat normal or even comfortably. And yet... I do now. It still blows my mind. Intuitive eating really works (both the books and the concept in general) and I feel such an amazing freedom now. I'm immensely grateful for this - I honestly never thought I'd get to this point.
